I am Nandakishore Varma.  Engineer by profession and writer in my dreams.

I have been writing sporadically since my college days.  I am too lazy to take it up seriously – though I still dream of writing that breakout novel.

I have been reviewing books on Goodreads for some time now, and posting on mythology and religion in various conversations on the Joseph Campbell Foundation (JCF) website.  For quite some time, I have felt the need to have a space of my own: Goodreads’ recent policy changes wherein they began to censor reviews hastened my decision.

Joseph Campbell said: “Your sacred space is where you find yourself, again and again.”  Here, in the magical world of the human psyche, among the words and images, is mine.  Dear traveller on the web, you are welcome to join me for a discussion in this quiet corner of the internet.

  1. Writing to let you know that yours is one of the blogs I have nominated for the Liebster Award. It is a virtual blogger award. I hope you will accept it!
Please visit my blog- the info is on the first page you will see (Post dated 27/12/2014).
Wishing you a great year ahead!

    • Thanks. I have been away from the blogosphere for a while now, as one of periodic bouts of inactivity and silence. I am trying to come back, but it may take a while.

I visited your blog, but I am not very sure how to follow your instructions. I have to answer all your questions, nominate the blogs as required, create questions of my own, and mention your blog in the post as a link. Is that sufficient?

      • Apologies for the delay.

I was away in Kerala with very limited net access and terribly short of time.

You got the part about the Liebster right. Just one more thing- the logo has to copied and pasted in your (corresponding) post.

The nominations can be as few/ as many as you like; but the nominees will need to be informed. That’s all.

I can sympathise with the bouts of inactivity- and hope to see you back soon.

  2. Chanced upon your space. Great thoughts, incisive analysis and to top it all off, mallu. Will be visiting regularly for more. Keep writing.

  3. I read your review your review on zelazny’s Lord of Light and found it disappointing
and yourself a rather unintelligent and uninsightful – generally very poor – reviewer.
Your lack of appreciation for something that is far far far more grand then anything you will produce in your miserable brief existence, is sad. You are to be felt sorry for, and you have my pity. I thought this is something you should know.
